cPacket Unified Network Observability Platform Achieves SOC 2® Type II Compliance

By Hari Miriyala, IT,Security and GRC

Trust is not optional when customers depend on us to protect mission-critical networks. They expect proof – not promises – that the data flowing through our platform is handled with rigor.

Compliance with industry benchmarks is one way that we demonstrate our commitment to delivering secure, resilient and high-quality solutions for network observability. That is why we are proud to announce that cPacket’s Unified Network Observability Platform has achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance. This milestone reinforces our ability to meet the most rigorous expectations for security, confidentiality, and availability in the most challenging networks.

Our SOC 2 Type II compliance applies to our full suite of products, spanning on-premises, cloud and multi-cloud environments, including:

  • cVu advanced packet brokers;
  • cStor packet capture and analytics appliances;
  • cClear centralized management and visualization solutions;
  • Cloud Observability Suite for virtual packet delivery, capture and analytics; and
  • AI-driven Insight Engine for network observability.

What this means to our customers

Organizations in financial services, healthcare, government, and technology operate under intense scrutiny. They need partners whose safeguards stand up to independent validation. SOC 2 Type II compliance reinforces that cPacket provides:

  • Confidence in security: Built-in controls for data protection, access governance, and risk mitigation that meet strict auditing standards.
  • Operational reliability: Consistent and measurable processes that minimize downtime and ensure consistent support for mission-critical applications.
  • Transparency and accountability: Independent audits confirm that our policies and operations hold up to the highest standards, offering customers greater assurance.

SOC 2: A necessary check on critical controls

SOC  (System and Organization Controls) 2 is a widely recognized compliance framework developed by American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It establishes strict standards for managing sensitive data and operations. Building upon last year’s SOC 2 Type I compliance, Type II demonstrates that our controls perform reliably over an extended period.

Working with Secureframe and independent AICPA-certified auditor Sensiba, we underwent a detailed review of our operational, security, and governance practices. The result validates what our customers already expect: our platform is built on processes that hold up under sustained scrutiny.

SOC 2 Type II compliance strengthens our position as a trusted partner for enterprises navigating complex networking challenges – enabling cPacket to:

  • Reinforce customer trust through independently verified security and data-handling practices.
  • Demonstrate reliability and resilience built into the products customers depend on to see, secure, and troubleshoot their networks.
  • Support scalable growth in regulated markets where vendors must prove control maturity. – not just claim it.

What’s Next for cPacket?

Achieving SOC 2 Type II is a major milestone in our ongoing compliance journey. As the regulatory and technology landscape evolves – particularly with the increased role of AI – we remain committed to strengthen cPacket’s overall posture, adopt to the latest innovations, and achieve relevant compliances for our customers.
